Since time immemorial: Rome vs. Jerusalem
Note about myself:
1958-1962 - Jagiellonian University, Cracow, Poland; was majoring in Hebrew Language and Biblical Studies.
1961-1972 - Researcher and Head of the Jewish Museum in Cracow at the Alte Shul
1964-1965 - Scholarship awarded by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem
1972-1974 - Head of the Library at the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw.
1974-1975 - Lecturer at the Institute of Religious Studies of the Cracow University.
1981 - After 6 years of unemployment and every possible humiliation forced to leave the country.
In 1964 I was awarded a grant for one-year study at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Since I was the first student coming from the Soviet Bloc I was interviewed by Yedioth Aharonoth shortly after my arrival to Jerusalem. A find of a Hebrew Chronicle mentioning forerunners of Copernicus in the National Library induced me to start my on own researches into the long history of the heliocentric religion revived by Copernicus in the Renaissance Period. On 25 May 1977 I delivered at the Polish Oriental Society, in Cracow a lecture about the Geocentric Astronomy of the Book of Job 26:7:
“He stretched out the North over the empty place and hangeth the earth upon nothing”
My article “At the Sources of the Copernican Heliocentrism” was printed in the “Urania” 1/1981/LII, monthly of the Polish Association of the Friends of Astronomy.
Two great empires – the Roman and the Babylonian/Persian controlled, between them, most of the settled land of Europe and western Asia. Each was committed to sustaining the belief, among their subjects, that their costly military endeavors were directed towards defending the civilized world against 'barbarism'. In the words of a late sixth-century diplomatic manifesto, sent by the King of Kings to the Byzantine emperor: “God effected that the whole world should be illuminated from the beginning by two eyes (the Roman and the Persian). For by these greatest powers the disobedient and bellicose tribes are trampled down and man’s course is continually regulated and guided.”
The Babylonian Taproot of Heliocentrism
A heliocentric diagram from the period before Joshua’s conquest unearthed in Israel confirms that the ancient Jews knew the heliocentric system elaborated later by Pythagoras, but rejected it (The Babylonian epic Enuma Elish mentions that the sun god Marduk established the orbit of the earth around the sun). The sun in the middle of the zodiac is marked in this diagram by a solar cross in a circle. Such crosses were worn by Babylonain rulers on their chests, as evidenced by the Shamsi-Adad stele at the British Museum. See heliocentric diagram of Sumer:

The Sungod Shamash receiving homage from three small figures. His emblem, the Solar disk, appears on the altar. The tablet was dedicated by a Babylonian king of the 9th BCE, who restored the temple of Shamash in Sippar. – “In the center of all rests the Sun. For who would place this lamp of a very beautiful temple in another or better place than this from which it can illuminate everything at the same time? As a matter of fact, not unhappily do some call it the lantern, others, the mind, and still others, the Leader of the World. Trismegistus calls it ‘visible God’; Sophocles’ Electra, ‘that which gazes upon all things.’ And so the sun, as if resting on a kingly throne, governs the family of stars which wheel around.” (the Revolutions Bk. I,10) ...Copernicus, kepler, and Galileo have dismantled the mythical abodes of the gods and bequeathed us secular knowledge.” (The Five Gospels) Ibn Rushd contends that even the apparent meaning of scripture fails to support the theologian’s doctrine of creation ex nihilo. He highlights texts like 11:7, 41:11 and 65:48, which imply that objects such as a throne, water and smoke pre-existed the formation of the world and that something will exist after the End of Days.
"The cross is an ancient pagan phallic symbol of the male penis, a symbol of pagan sex worship and the abominable rites of Baalism and the pagan Babylonian temple prostitution carried out in worship of Astarte ("Easter")." (William F. Dankenbring-Was Jesus Christ Crucified on a "Cross"?)
It should be reminded here that the Etruscans, called themselves Rasena; and the descendants of the most ancient families always believed that the Rasena had come from the great and ancient city of Resen or RSN, the capital of Aturia in the land of Assyria situated on the great river Tigris. . The civil year of Etruscans began in March and consisted of 365 days i.e. it was a solar year. (Carlo maria Franzero, The Life and Times of Tarquin the Etruscan. London 1960) We see the same swastika or revolving cross, the perennial symbol of heliocentrism in Phoenicia and in Etruria

Franz Cumont in his Astrology and Religion Among the Greeks and Romans wrote: “From astronomical speculations the Chaldeans had deduced a whole system of religious dogmas. The sun, set in the midst of the superimposed planets, regulates their harmonious movements. As its heat impels them forward, then draws them back, it is constantly influencing, according to its various aspects, the direction of their course and their action upon the earth. Fiery heart of the world, it vivifies the whole of this great organism, and as the stars obey its command, it reigns supreme over the universe. The radiance of its splendor illuminates the divine immensity of the heavens, but at the same time in its brilliance there is intelligence; it is the origin of all reason, and, as a tireless sower it scatters unceasingly on the world below the seeds of a harvest of souls.”
In Rig Veda HYMN XXXVII. Surya we read: O Surya, with the light whereby thou scatterest gloom, and with thy ray impellest every moving thing.
Vitruvius with reference to Varro (116-27) explains, in his presentation of astronomy, the forward and backward movements of stars in this way: “Like heat, at first loosens and then attracts to itself all things…for the same reason the powerful influence of the sun attracts with its rays the stars to itself and does not let them move forward, but forces them to return to itself.” Vitruvius was a Newton of classical Rome. In Thomas Digges's translation of The Revolutions the sun is “like the king in the middest of al who reigneth and geeveth lawes of motion to ye rest.” The Stoics called this sun god the Fiery Reason of the World. They called him Mind, Law, Providence, Destiny.
This astrology became the core of the stoic philosophy. The Stoic god is at one time desccribed as Fire, Ether, Air ('enthroned breath or Wind, pneuma'), at another time as soul, Mind, Reason-containing-the germs of-all-things (logos spermatikos or, a tireless sower). Justin Martyr, taught that the true Christianity is antithetical to Judaism. In his “Dialogue with Jew Trypho” (c. AD 140) Justin argued, Christianity was something quite different from Judaism. Jesus had come to restore true religion and to denounce the hypocrisy of the religion of the Hebrews. For that crime Jesus had been crucified. Justin had taught that Christians should avoid Jews and view themselves as a religion built on different ideas and premises from Judaism. Justin’s religion “wholly distinct from Judaism” He envisaged Jesus as ever-existent “seed-sowing Reason (Stoic Logos Spermatikos)”; he believed that the good God was an erect phallus, like Shiva worshiped in the pre-Islamic kaba (Hippolytus, Refutation 5.7.21-22). Using his own sperm, the Babylonian god Ea came up with a new “perfect model” of Earthling, Adapa.
Tum pater omnipotens fecundis imbribus Aether coniugis in gremium laetae descendit,
Then Aether, sire omnipotent, leaps down With quickening showers to his glad wife's embrace. (Virgil, Georgics II)
Paul's Melchizedek Brotherhood.
“THE SUN IN ALL CREATION” (The Litany of Ra)
An offspring of the great god Shamash on his father's side, Gilgamesh was considered to be two thirds god, one third human. But by the further fact that his mother was the goddess NIN.SUN, he was thus accorded the privilege of having his name written with the prefix “divine.” It has been confirmed from other historical texts – including the sumerian King Lists – that he was a ruler of Uruk (biblical Erech)
The Egyptians called obelisks “Beams of the gods” The term Ben(ben) literally means “that which flowed out,” meaning semen of god which turned into a stone. The pharaohs raised these obelisks in order 'to obtain from the gods 'the gift of eternal life. Emanationism understands the more subtle and spiritual realities as preceding and generating the grosser and more material ones, and that moreover those grosser realities are the result of an out-flowing from the subtle, rather than being created ex nihilo, as the theistic religion claims.
"The first germ of life was developed by water and heat" (Manu, book I, sloka 8).
Indra is methaphysically Indha (αϊθων) a “Kindler”). Heraclitus had a lofty vision of Fire when he described it as the basic stuff the world is made of, meaning “the purest and brightest sort that is as of the eternal and divine thunderbolt.

In an official prayer of Avalokiteshvara, who emanated from the right eye of his spiritual father, Buddha Amitabha is described as a puer aeternus: “Generated from ten million rays his body is completely white (the favoured race of the Romans and of Darwin's)
Since Ibn Rushd asserts that physical generation is the product of both seed, which contains forms in potentiality, and solar heat, the sun being a heavenly being; spontaneous generation, in which the seed is absent, is merely the effect of solar heat upon the basic elements (i.e. earth and water).
The Qumran sectarians, like the Pythagorean heliocentrists before them, styled themselves “the sons of light”. Those who spring from a “fountain of light” like Noah mentioned in the Genesis Apocryphon (1 Qap-Gen) do not have natural fathers. They live eternally like Melchizedek described in 11 Qmelchizedek. Accordingly, we learn from Heb 7:1-3 that He is without father or mother or genealogy, and has neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God, he continues a priest forever.” In Qumran, and later in the Christian writings the title “Son of God” functioned exactly like in the Graeco-Hellenistic world, as a term denoting a nature.
The belief that mankind is not the sole representative of intelligent life in the Universe is very old. And it is more than a belief: as the philosopher Metrodorus put it in the third century B.C. ‘to consider the Earth the only populated world in infinite space is as absurd as to assert that in an entire field sown with millet, only one grain will grow.” St. Paul refers to this when he says that he was caught up to the Third Heaven (cp. The Third Rock from the Sun) and heard unutterable words in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell” (2 Cor. 12:2-4). St. John also says he was “in the Spirit” i.e. in an ecstasy – when he saw the apocalyptic vision (Rev. 1:10). There was a class of diviners among the ancient Greeks called Extatici who used to lie in trances, and when they came to themselves gave strange accounts of what they had seen while they were “out of the body.” 2 Cor. 12: 2-3; “I know about one of Christ’s followers who was taken up into the Third Heaven fourteen years ago. I don’t know if the man was still in his body when it happened, but God certainly knows. As I said, only God really knows if this man was in his body at the time. But he was taken up into paradise, where he heard things that are too wonderful to tell.” (Cp. “And we have created over you 7 Heavens.” – The Qur’an 2.178) The following quote is attributed to Metrodorus. If accurate, it demonstrates that Metrodorus had a cosmological philosophy that was 'advanced' for the ancient world: "A single ear of corn in a large field is as strange as a single world in infinite space."
Kepler said that he understood perfectly how the Pythagoreans could believe that all the globes disseminated through Space were rational Intelligences¸facultates ratiocinativae, circulating around the Sun. According to Copernicus they were offspring of the sun god i.e. Reason of the World.
"Vishnu in the form of the Solar active energy, neither ever rises nor sets, and is at once, the sevenfold Sun and distinct from it," says Vishnu Purana (Book II., Chap. 11). Shiva in his symbol linga is referred to as as fixed or immovable (dhruva. In Sanskrit, the polar star is also known as dhruva (ध्रुव). Shiva is worshiped in the form of the linga, in the center of the temple, or inner shrine.
In a different three-fold division, it is believed that the linga contains within itself all the three divinities making up the Indian trinity of Supreme Godhead, namely Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Brahma abides in the lower part that is hidden inside the earth. Vishnu occupies the middle portion of the linga that is covered by the pedestal, and finally there is Shiva, in the top portion that is visible above the pedestal. http://www.exoticindiaart.com/shivalinga.htm
Deva, God, is derived from the root div, to shine.
"To know fire, the sun, the moon, and lightning, is three-fourths of the science of God.”

The name Sagg or Zagg found in the oldest Sun-temple in Mesopotamia at Nippur is the early Aryan name for God, about two millennium before the birth of Abraham, with its sense of fixity. It is soon afterward found spelt by the Early Sumerians in their still-existing inscriptions as Zax or Zakh, in the form "The Enthroned Zax or Zakh" (En-Zax), with the meaning "The Enthroned Breath or Wind." This "Zagg" has the meaning, "The Shining Stone + Being, Maker or Creator," (Cp. The Petra genetrix which gave birth to the Persian sun god Mithras, which, of course is the case of spontaneous generation, like the one which occurred in Darwin's 'little worm pond'). Zax (Sax, Sakh, Sakko, S'akra) is the Sumerian origin of the name "Zeus" of the Greeks. The Semitic Father-god or "Bel" was early given by the Aryans the title of "Zagg" or "Sagg".
“On the 15th day of Kislev in the year 145” – in the reckoning of the Seleucid dynasty (that is, in the late Dec. of 167 B.C) – “the king set the Abomination of Desolation on the altar of holocausts”, according to the horrified chronicler of I Maccabees. This things was a statue of Olympian Zeus, king of the Greek gods (also known in Asia Minor as Baal, for the Greeks were happy to have their gods take local names), now given pride of place in the Temple of the Living God and defiling both the Temple and the Jewish people with unimaginable sacrilege. Whoever objected, whoever persisted in the old, exclusive ways, whoever had her children circumcised, whoever refused to perform his civic duty and make sacrifices in the customary manner to the pantheon of gods, was put to the sword – mothers with their circumcised infants “hung round their necks.” The new order was publicized as the triumph of reason over backwardness and superstition.
A certain Egyptian statue of Atum,-Ra is an example of the metaphorical symbolism used in Ancient Egypt to express the Principle of Creation, in which masturbation of the deity Ra-Atum produces the event of creation.
Atum Said .....[ORIGINAL GENESIS]
I masturbated with my own hand.
I ejaculated into my own mouth.
I sneezed to create Shu the wind,
I spat to create Tefnut the rain.

Masturbating Zeus 'creates' Copernicus 'family of stars'
Father George Coyne, head of the Vatican Observatory Research Group during John Paul II's pontificate suggested that we might view stars as God's Sperm. The Babylonian king Hammurabi is depicted as seated on top of a phallus and receiving his Codex from the sun god. “The Christ of creed and dogma, who had been firmly in place in the Middle Ages, can no longer command the assent of those who have seen the heavens through Galileo's telescope.” (The Five Gospels by The Jesus Seminar)
From Abraham thru Moses to Yehoshua
The Rambam, in Moreh Nevuchim writes (3:29) that The Egyptian Agriculture relates that Avraham was born in Kutah, opposed the idolatrous views of the masses who worshiped the sun, and was put in prison. Because he debated with the authorities, the king, afraid Avram would undermine his authority and cause people to abandon their religion, banished him to the faraway land of Canaan after seizing all his wealth.”

Thus did He show Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, so that he might become a firm believer .When night drew its shadow over him, he saw a star. ‘That,’ he said, ‘is surely my God.’ But when it faded in the morning light, he said: ‘I will not worship gods that fade.’ When he beheld the rising moon, he said: ‘That is my God.’ But when it set, he said: ‘If my Lord does not guide me, I shall surely go astray.’ Then, when he beheld the sun shining, he said: ‘That must be my God: he is the largest.’ But when it set, he said to his people: ‘I disown your idols. I will turn my face to Him who has created the heavens and the earth, and will live a righteous life. I am no idolater. – Qur'an 6:79
To the Egyptians the sun was the symbol of immortality, for, while it died each night, it rose again with each ensuing dawn.
Matthew , from the beginning presents Jesus as son of David and second Moses. The moral values, which he presents are those of the Law. By contrast to Marks' community, Matthew hints that in his community the boundary-markers of Judaism were still observed. When Jesus came to Jerusalem he was cheered with the singing of Psalm 119: 'Blessed is he who is coming in the name of YHWH' John 4:21.23 Jesus says to the Samaritan.: 'The hour is coming when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth'. The Romans had the reason to be concerned.
The first commandment the Jews were given as a people is the mitzvah of Rosh Chodesh, the New Moon: “And God said to Moses...in the land of Egypt ... This month is for you, the head of the months. First it is for you among the months of the year.” - Ex 12:1-2
This is a strange first commandment. You'd think the development of the calendar would only come after the establishment of the basic fundamentals like the Ten Commandments. And yet the Torah considers the process of establishing the new month as a major breakthrough in creating a nation. And what was wrong with the solar calendar that everyone else had been using? What is the significance of basing the Jewish calendar on the moon?
http://www.exoticindiaart.com/artimages/nandi_the_bull.jpg
The Golden calf of Shiva nandi
The Vedic god Surya was a solar bull. According to the Assyrians, the bull was born of the sun (like Aristotle's frogs). So, Moses took the calf, which they had made, and burnt it with fire, and ground it to powder, and scattered it upon the water, and made the people of Israel drink it. (Ex. 32:20). There is no doubt about it that it was Moses's rejection of the Aryan solar religion which influenced Qur'an's teaching about the sun as expressed in the story about Abraham and the Sun in the Quran.
'Jove for Mankind Crucified' -Dante
In Dante’s De Monarchia the “divine predestination” of the Roman people as the world power is derived not from interpretations of the Hebrew prophets or from the appointments of Peter but proved from the genealogical tree of Aeneas and Creusa! Ernest Renan (1823-92) stated in his famous Life (1863) that fundamentally there was nothing Jewish in Jesus. How about Mt 5:45:
'For He (YHWH) maketh his sun to rise...' (Mt. 5:45)
He did not say: 'For He (YHWH) makeht his earth to spin'
In his classic novel The Golden Ass Apuleius (2nd century) offered this hymn to Isis: “The gods above worship you; the gods below reverence you; You turn the earth …
Emperor Hadrian's observatory was dedicated to Isis. he would observe the setting sun sending a shaft of goldish-red light through a certain slit in his observatory tower to illuminate a golden statue of the Egyptian Goddess Isis. Then there would be oracles at midnight. You can just see the cluster of priests and augurs, chanting and offering sacrifices amidst billowing clouds of incense.

Islamic astronomers never questioned geocentricity; they had more respect for the Quran, than the Roman Catholic astronomers turned theologians (like Galileo) have for the Bible. The Quran proclaims: “He has subjected the sun and the moon (to continue going round) Each running its course) for a term appointed” – 13:2; 21:33; 31:29 The Quran in fact, fully supports and verifies the claims of the Jews for the land of Israel as truly scientific... In the Universe of Homer’s times, the mountains can be seen to rise over the surface of the great disk of the Earth, the Ocean spreading around them, while the center is dominated by Mount Olympus which rises up to heaven, supported by the pillars of Atlas.

Yehoshua for Mankind Crucified
In 2006 (!), a book Metahari Mengelilingi Bumi by Ahmad Sabiq bin Abdul Lathif Abu Yusuf was published in Indonesia which 'explains' that according to Islam, the right concept in astronomy is not the earth revolving about the sun (heliocentrism), but the sun revolving about the earth (geocentrism). This book was followed by many websites for support that geocentric concept. And so a movement against “the Scientific Miracles” in the Qur'an, concocted in Paris, started and is growing day by day. In the Serpent-Mantra, of the Hindu perennial, solar cosmology the Brahmana declares as follows: 'the earth is the mother and queen of all that moves' (sarpat) (Cp. La donna e mobile est). The same cosmology behind Copernicus's heliocentrism was unmasked by a Polish, graphic summary of The revolutions, published in 1897:

According to Waddel the title of "Arri"-or "Arya" (Englished into "Arya-n") is derived from the Sumerian Ar,"a Plough" (which thus discloses the Sumerian origin of the Old English "to Ear (i.e., plough) the ground," Gothic Arian, Greek Aroein, Latin Ar-are). And they made ploughing and sowing sacred rites under the Sun Cross, as it is seen in the Cassi seal of about 1350 B.C. and the same scene is figured on seals of the fourth millennium B.C. This bronze sestertius coin was minted in 70 to commemorate the Roman conquest of Judea. On the one side of the coin there appears "Judaea capta" ("Judea conquered"). Judea is depicted as a mourning woman sitting under a palm tree. The head of Vespasian, emperor of Rome in 70, appears on other side of the coin. This coin commemorating the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70 confirms that the Roman imperial policy was an extension of the conquest of Judea by the Ptolemies who attempted to strengthen their hold on the land by destroying the core of Jewish unity, dedication to Yahweh’s laws by a thorough process of Hellenization. On the reverse of that coin, Rome standing triumphant on globe holds in his left hand the symbol of the celestial pole mimicking thus Mithra (or his Syrian counterpart Attis) who in the so-called investiture scenes remind of his ability to shift the position of the celestial pole by moving the cosmic structure, to account for the precession of equinoxes.

In the Buddhist Enlightenment true is not perceived to be an absolute or objective revelation...'knowledge' is not 'to know', but 'not to know', it is only a 'subjective intuitional experience', the thinking has been replaced by feelings; logic plays no part on it, it is the negation of one's rational faculties...it is an 'ego' religion, where one's own enlightened self becomes arbiter of all actions and the gauge of the truth...there is no need for God...you are God!...even if you do not know how to make flowers or stars or atoms...but you are God!Like Copernicus, who according to a Polish saying, 'stopped the sun and moved the earth.'
